listen to sade while reading if you can
I want to sit atop the highest cloud take in all that's dear to me from up there in the sky lay your head on my thighs no matter what's low below we're high above, hold me tight til I fall asleep and when I wake with nausea knotted deep down sit with me for another day another night, I beg tell me you won't get enough do not mind the upcoming storm clouding your vision i'll cover it with stars even if it sacrifices my heart
i remember your eyes i stared at them all through the deafening night you shall never know still i collect the dust clinging to your heart i've reached to clean it up only you would not let me in far enough the nights are getting warmer they pass by through me, endless clocks ticking my ears time wasted on fury— still i fear my will is stronger than your indifference my strings are made of golden while yours shine the coldest of blues clinging to rot, they grieve harsher with each of the moon's turns—
i'm spinning myself trying to get to you soaring over rivers, mountains of hush down to fields of sorrows floating floating we're farther than the ocean our horizon's slipping into the abyss of hollows even when you're right within my reach the sky's fading darker no control i possess not one i can inherit even when my trembling hands reach into the shadows
thank you for reading! <3
